This month we at The Digit-al Dozen are celebrating the birthday of the lovely Amy of The Fancy Side! She decided our prompt would be the colour pink so there was a lot of freedom in terms of what the end mani would look like. :)

I decided to use one of my favourite stamping plates to create a pink on pink on pink rose design! Check under the cut to see what I used and for more pics!

Swatches of the My Little Pony by China Glaze Color is Magic! Collection

Glitter glitter glitter! And some iridescent flakies! Do I ever have some lovelies for you guys today, let me tell you!

The China Glaze x My Little Pony collaboration collection is coming out this month, and I was able to pick up the ones that caught my eye at my local beauty supply place a couple weeks ago (since they always put collections out early).

I've been sitting on these swatches for a while unfortunately but now they are here and now you can enjoy them as much as I do! I have to say I think these are some of my favourite China Glaze polishes in recent memory! :D

Check them out below and let me know what you think!

Hello loves! Happy Pride! In celebration of the season (and the Toronto Pride Parade this coming Sunday!) I have a super fun new collection to share with you from Sinful Colors. This is their Pride 2017 Collection and it is being released with inspiration from international singer and songwriter Era Istrefi! The collection has a mix of new and old shades but my favourites are the 5 new Limited Edition glitter polishes in a rainbow of colours. A shade for every mood!

Check out my swatches and more info below, and then let me know what you think! How would you use these colours to paint a rainbow across your nails? :)

If you haven't heard yet, Polish Pickup is a shop where you can nominate and vote on monthly themes and indie makers make polishes based around that theme which you can then pick up in the shop! It's been running for a few months so far and I love it - the way they set it up you can buy as many or as few polishes as you want, and there's $3 flat rate shipping to Canada and the US! Hooray!

I've been able to try out a BUNCH of new indie brands because of this which is awesome. The polish I have to share with you today is from the April Polish Pickup theme of 'Works of Art'. I'm sorry to say I can't remember which painting this was inspired by, but I can tell you it's from a brand that is brand new to me: Chirality Polish!

So the longer I blog, the more I seem to love receiving mystery boxes or mystery packs. I don't know what it is! There's just something so fun about throwing a bit of my money at someone and getting something that's a total surprise in return. Is it just me??

Today the mystery item(s) we're looking at are the ones I got in a recent Born Pretty Store 99¢ mystery pack. I usually pick up a mystery pack with every order I make at BPS. They sometimes have mystery stamping plate sets, mystery packs (like this), mystery decal sets... All sorts of things! They usually cost between 99¢ and $2 so it's not like they break the bank, either.

The pack I'm sharing here was one of the Three Items Lucky Bag Secret Gift Packs and I've added the link just there in case you decide you want to pick one up for yourself after reading this post. ;)

So let's open it up!

It is the last day of DD week and to be honest when I sat down to do these nails I had NO idea what I was going to do. Originally I was going to do a newspaper mani (where you apply newsprint to your nails with rubbing alcohol) but I couldn't find any newspaper in my house and it was too late to go out.

So instead my eye caught on the foil nail kit by Finger Paints that I picked up on clearance from Sally's ages ago and went "Foil is a form of paper. Foil nails it is!" I've never used foil paper successfully so I was a bit nervous, but these turned out awesome!

I feel like this week I'm alternative complicated looks with simple looks, which I am totally okay with. Today I have a more simple look for you - just some bold black on white stamping that is supposed to inspire the idea of Baroque-period sheet music. :) That fits for the theme of 'Paper,' right?

I am back with my third (and favourite) Digit-al Dozen 'Paper' look! I decided to go with a comic which is definitely one of the things I think about when I think of paper.

Guys... I LOVE THIS LOOK SO MUCH! The bold colours, the implied story across the nails, that red lippie... Pure love. Amazing. Best nails, every other nail can go home. Haha.

Sometimes you have an idea in your mind, but when you execute it it just doesn't work out how you pictured... That's how I'd describe today's mani. I was imagining a really rich, gradient background with crisp and bright stamping on top. But I got this instead. Haha. Ah well! They can't all be winners. :)

This is my second fill for this month's DD week with the theme of paper - when I think of paper, crosswords is one of the things that comes to mind! So I decided to use my new Moyra stamping plate from Beautyometry (part of my VIP Bag from Indie Expo Canada) which has a lovely crossword image.

Let's take a look!

You guys I have missed doing nail art so much! Things have been so busy that I just haven't had time, but sitting down to paint my nails and come up with some designs for the Digit-al Dozen theme for this week was so fun and relaxing! I love it.

This month our theme is 'Paper,' and I decided to start with a fairly literal take on it. :)

Hello lovely readers! I'm trying to get most of my IEC2017 posts up this weekend because next week is a Digit-al Dozen week which means I will be neck-deep in nail art, so today I'm sharing my shopping haul post with you! I haven't had time to swatch any of these beauties but I have some gorgeous bottle shots to share. :)

Take a look and let me know which you would like me to swatch first!

Helloooo and sorry for the radio silence! Indie Expo Canada (aka the focus of this post!) took a lot out of me and there's lots of other things going on in my life on top of that, so my writing got a bit delayed. But never fear, I am back!

Did you attend Indie Expo Canada Toronto 2017? If so, did you come by to say hi?:) If you didn't, that's okay! This post is gonna let you live vicariously through me, hooray! I will also have two or three other posts coming up in the next couple weeks with my shopping haul, a look at the VIP bag, and a look at what I covered in my tutorial table. So keep an eye out for that!

Now, let's go! Pretend it's 11am on a mild Sunday morning and click the 'read more' below!
