ProcrastiNails: About the Blogger

Hello hello and welcome! My name is Katherine and I’m a Clinical Social Worker based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Some of the other boxes I can tick off are: vegetarian, cat owner, queer, and overall tall person!

I’ve been running this blog for just over 3 years now and have found a friendly and supportive place in the blogging community online. I blog as a hobby rather than a career but still appreciate being able to connect and network with other bloggers when I can.

ProcrastiNails is my little corner of the internet where I can provide reviews, recommendations, swatches, nail art and tutorials for nail polish and nail care related products. I focus on using nail polish and nail care as a method of self-care.

My blog name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to how I justify procrastinating as just being a method of self-care (since the social work field right now is all about self-care and mindfulness). My tagline used to be: “Some call it procrastination, I call it self-care!” I do genuinely think that we all need a break from time to time, and sometimes we’re too hard on ourselves for procrastinating when in fact what we’re doing is taking a break to breathe and regroup – the trick is to be able to pull yourself back on track before the break becomes a problem and leads into true procrastination.

I look forward to continue growing as an individual, blogger and nail artist, and I hope you’ll decide to follow along with me. I’m always welcome to connecting with new people in the community so if you want feel free to send me a message to say “hello!” anytime!
