Some days you just gotta be girly, and in my opinion this mani is just perfect for fulfilling that need. :) You may have seen this look on instagram a few months ago but if not you're in luck because I'm sharing it over here today in all it's glory! Check under the cut for more pics and a breakdown of what I used to put this look together.

Review // The Best Quick Dry Drops EVER: Julep Ta Da! Quick Dry Drops

Since my nails are still growing from The Shaping Incident I've decided to use some of the other posts I had sitting on the back-burner so you aren't without content. Hooray backlog! Today we're going to look at one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE PRODUCTS for nail care.

So. You know how there are some products you have been using forever and you can't ever see yourself changing to something different no matter how far in the future you look? That's what this product is for me. I've been using Julep's Ta Da! Quick Dry Drops since I first discovered what Julep was and I haven't looked back since. They're that good! Want to hear more? Check out the full review below the cut!

Pros and Cons of Shaping Your Nails at 2am AKA My Regrettable New Nail Shape

Pics of the process as it went down from my IG Story

"So Katherine," you might have been asking recently, "Why aren't you posting? Where did you go?"

Well dear reader, the answer is as follows: When I got home at 2am a couple days ago I noticed that the edges of two of my nails had broken off, and I decided it was time to try something new! Why not go for a bit of a coffin shape?!

So I did it.

Nail Art: Polka Dots for #31DC2016 // Dotted French Tips

* Contains Press Samples

Who ever said that posting nail art challenges had to go in order, right? Haha. I'm going back a few days in prompts to share my Polka Dot look for The 31 Day Challenge!

I actually intended this to look quite different (I wanted to do a mandala look similar to my last round of twin nails) but this is what I ended up with instead. This is a new look for me but I quite like it. :)

Nail Art: Watermarble for #31DC2016 // Gold Accented Skittle Marble

* Contains Press Samples

A skittle marble is a thing, right?! Haha. If not it is now! I tried to stick with the same handful of colours across all my nails and blended each set of colours separately (obvs). My favourite ended up being my pointer finger but I think they're all fun! What do you think, do you have a fav? :)

Nail Art: Galaxy for #31DC2016 // Galaxy Stamping feat. CND Vinylux Dazzling Dance

I knew I bought this polish for a reason! Oh my gosh guys, I stumbled across CND Vinylux Dazzling Dance in a clearance bin at Winners one day and my eye just kept getting drawn to it. I had no idea why, but I had to have it! And now that I've used it in this galaxy mani? I know why! It's the PERFECT addition to a starry filled galaxy! It adds glitter and holo and a hint of duochrome shimmer! Ahhhh!

Nail Art: Flowers for #31DC2016 // Bronze and Red Floral Accent Nails

* Contains Press Samples

Hey loves! Remember how I said I only had one look for you today? Well, I lied! If I'm behind on the challenge anyway there's no need to do it in order, right? And I already had this mani waiting for when I got to fill 14. So instead of waiting I'm sharing a nail decal look with you for my floral fill for The 31 Day Challenge!

This one uses the decals as accent nails and also uses a colour combo that I just can't get enough of. I don't know what it is about deep red and bronze that make me feel happy... They're just such a lovely combo!

Nail Art: Gradient for #31DC2016 // Fiery Fall Gradient Stamping

I just have one post for you today, because I got tired and didn't want to edit the second one before I went in to work... Oops! So I'll have to play more catch-up tomorrow. :)

For the Gradient prompt I wanted to do something different than a gradient background, so I decided to do some gradient stamping instead! (Ouuuu!) Check under the cut for more pics and info!

Nail Art: Rainbow for #31DC2016 // Rainbow Dental Stamping (Yes, Really)

Okay guys. These ridiculous nails are the best thing I've ever done, no question. Hahahah. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! For whatever reason as soon as I saw these patterns on a stamping plate I knew I had to colour them in with a whole rainbow of colour. Why? Who know! Don't ask! It resulted in this hilariously amazing look so just roll with it. :)

Nail Art: Metallic for #31DC2016 // Dripping Rainbow Metallic Nails

Hello loves! The first of two looks today is my fill for Metallic for The 31 Day Challenge!

As soon as I started looking through my collection for metallic polishes I remembered the gorgeous (and rarely used) Sally Hansen Color Foil Collection that I have. Perfect! And drips seemed like a good way to feature all the shades in a way that would pop off of the background.

Check under the cut for a better look. :)

Nail Art: Black & White for #31DC2016 // Contrast Stamping with MoYou London

The second post for today is my Black & White fill for the 31 Day Challenge. :) I'm really proud of how this turned out - it was the first time I tried lining up my stamping with my background so that the colors would cross properly, and it worked out perfectly!

Nail Art: Violet for #31DC2016 // Purple and Gold One Stroke Flower Mani

Hooray, I had a moderately successful attempt at a one stroke flower design! This challenge is doing wonders for my technique skills, it's letting me try a bunch of things that I've been meaning to work on but never have the time to actually do. :)

Today we're looking at the violet fill for The 31 Day Challenge, and later today I'll have the Black & White fill for you, too! Check below for more info!

Nail Art: Blue for #31DC2016 // Underwater Stamped Seascape

So this is not my favourite mani, but I decided to share it with you anyway. It's my blue fill for The 31 Day Challenge and it's an underwater seascape! I decided to make it matte because I honestly feel if you matte-ify something that you dislike it will make it just a little bit better... And it worked here for me! (In my opinion!)

Nail Art: Green for #31DC2016 // Geometric Layered Pond Mani with MoYou London and OPI

First fill of the day, here we go! I decided to do my first pond mani (layering stamping and a jelly polish) for my green fill, and I'm super pleased with how it turned out. :) I think choosing a design with not a lot of surface area when stamping was a good call because I didn't have to wait long for it to dry before I could do my next layer. Woo!

Nail Art: Yellow for #31DC2016 // Dotted Gradient Flowers with OPI

Okay! Second fill for today for The 31 Day Challenge! Let's do this! Three down!

I know it's turning to fall now, but I want to pretend it's summer for just a little bit longer, 'kay? These nails let me do just that. :) The sunny yellow + abstract dotted flower design are perfect for putting a smile on my face and making me imagine a sun in the sky!

Nail Art: Orange for #31DC2016 // Orange Skittle ZigZag Mani

It's been a long time since I've done a simple skittle mani and I decided that The 31 Day Challenge was as good a time as any to pull the design out again! Mainly because I had no other ideas for what to do for my orange fill and I'm working on a timeline here haha. But whatever! It's a tried-and-true nail art design and one that any blogger should have in their arsenal. :)

Check under the cut for a breakdown of what polishes and tools I used, and also more pics! Yay pics!

Nail Art: Red for #31DC2016 // Red Bandana Stamping with MoYou London and Konad

Okay. So I said I wasn't going to participate in The 31 Day Challenge this year... And I really meant it... But then I saw everyone posting all their lovely looks, and I just couldn't keep away! I'm already quite far behind (how is it the 13th already?!) but that doesn't matter... I can do it!

To try to get done on time I'm going to be posting minimum two looks per day (except for today because I only have like 15 minutes left in the day)... I know what you're thinking: "Katherine, that's SO MANY POSTS!" And I know! But it's just gotta be done! I just can't stay away from a good nail art challenge!

Today we're starting with my Red Nails, and tomorrow I'll have Orange and Yellow for you! :) Let's get to it!

Nail Art // Silk Matte Watermarble with Floral Decals

* Press Sample

You guys I did a successful watermarble! I am so happy! So happy you have no idea! I just sat myself down and said "Katherine, today you are going to do a watermarble and it is going to work." And it DID!

Nail Art // Mandala Decals from Nicole Diary

* Press Sample

Today I have some full-nail water decals to share with you from Nicole Diary. :) Sometimes you just want a full detailed mani without all the freehand work, and for that full-nail decals do the job just fine. The decals I'm sharing today have a fun green, white, red and black mandala design and they somehow make me think of both summer and Christmas... Is it just me?!

Check out more under the cut!

Throwback Thursday (Vol 13)

Oh MAN it's been a long time since we've had one of these! I'm almost at the point where when I look back to my art and pictures from a year ago I'm not embarrassed about the quality! Towards the end in this set you can see my lighting/background starting to line up with what I use these days, and I'm pleased with the quality of the art too! Woohoo, progress! That's always nice. :)

Nail Art // Jungle Plants with Butter London and Nicole Diary

* Press Sample

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a good week with gorgeous polish on their nails. :) I have a quick look to share with you today using some more Nicole Diary water decals. It's weird because I consider this a quasi-nail fail, but I still like it! Hmm. Check more pics under the cut and let me know if you think this look was a success or a fail, I just can't decide!

Review // Removing My Makeup with Only Water + The FaceOff Makeup Remover Cloth

* Press Sample

So let me tell you something. I am one of those horrible people who will occasionally go to bed with a full face of makeup because I'm too lazy to find and use my makeup remover(s) at night. Stained pillows? Don't care. Breakouts? Still don't care. I'm lazy!! I just want to go to bed!! When I do actually clean my face before bed 50% of the time I actually pull out all my proper cleansers and masks and what-have-you, and the other 50% of the time I just ruin one of my clean facecloths by making it hot and then rubbing all my makeup off.

With all this in mind, you can imagine how I felt when I got an offer to review the FaceOff Makeup Remover Cloth. Clean all the makeup from my face with no need for cleanser? I'll bite! Sounds hella easier for when I stumble home and all I want to do is go to sleep.

I can say my opinion of this product is definite and passionate, but you'll have to check the full review under the cut to see if that's good or bad!

Nail Art // Gradient Emoji Faces with Nicole Diary Decals

* Press Sample

You guys I LOVE this mani! I was so sad when I had to take it off, and I'm seriously considering ordering another pack of these decals so that I can recreate this and wear it again for a longer period of time. Hmmmm! Check out more pics under the cut and let me know if you're also on Team Redo-This-Mani! :)

Twinsie Thursday // Dotted Recreation with Lothwen from Manis & Makeovers

* Contains Press Samples

Hey loves! This was a super fun post to do, and I'm excited to share it with you! The lovely Lothwen of Manis & Makeovers and I decided to do a cute and fun twinsie recreation of a look that was originally created by Paulina of Paulina's Passions! I haven't done detail work like this in a while, and the design used so many colours that I had to go through multiple shelves in my helmers to find them all. :) It was a lot of fun to do, though.
