I gotta admit, I'm struggling a bit with my mojo, guys. I'm working through some burnout at the moment but I have some fun opportunities coming down the pipeline that will hopefully help to shake me out of it. In the meantime I'm going to share the next post in my Throwback Thursday series - it's a series I truly enjoy working on and sharing with you, no matter how I'm feeling about my broader blogging goals and experiences! :) So let's focus on that positive and get right into it!
July 1, 2014
Happy (belated) Canada Day, fellow Canadians! I didn't get time to put a look together this year but here's a flash back to what I put together last year. Look at that maple leaf! The design that has been the bane of Canadian school children's' existence for ages! :) My favourite is my ring finger which is a general interpretation of a Mountie uniform! This was such a fun set to do.

This was one of my favourite looks last year. The bold black and gold combo is so striking and and the design was so simple yet unique! Kind of like a classy Minnie Mouse somehow, if that makes sense? Haha. And there's just something about that matte glittery gold goodness of OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. that gets me every time!

Aaaangry Birds! Remember when that was a thing? Haha. I got these nail stickers in a mystery bag from Born Pretty Store and had no idea how to make them work in a mani but knew I wanted to use them for the Embrace Your Geekness Challenge I was participating in. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out, though they are a bit simple for my tastes (yes even with the China Glaze Fairy Dust on top).

Another one of my favourites! July was a good month! :) I used my favourite brown ever (Essie Little Brown Dress) as the base for this mani and then added the sheer iridescent shimmer and some freehand roses on top. I love how all these colours layer together, and this is one of my favourite styles of roses to do.

And last but not least for this month we have my #HePicksMyPolish fill for July! The premise behind this is that you get a guy in your life (in this case my dad) to choose three polishes from your collection, and you have to make them work! I was really pleased with this one since he (surprisingly) chose colours that went pretty well together.
That's it for this week! As always let me know which look you like the best and if there are any you would like to see re-created one day, and maybe once my mojo is back I'll get on it. :)
Thanks for visiting!
