April is almost done, but before we start May (It's gonna be MAY!) I wanted to share a few more posts with you from instagram. :) I have some fun art, some hauls, and a preview of an upcoming review series, so make sure to check all the pics and captions out below!

Hey hey! Happy Tuesday! :) Today I have some quick swatches to share with you as part of a new linkup I'm taking part in where me and a few other bloggers are swatching polish for every colour of the alphabet! Not the most original series, I know at least 3 other bloggers doing similar things outside of our group, but it's still a fun challenge I think!
I'm looking forward to digging through my polishes to see what I have for each letter, though already from looking for the first few letters I am kicking myself for not keeping a spreadsheet up-to-date with all my polish names... Picking them all up and flipping them over till I find a winner is a pain! Haha. Oh well.
Enough chit chat! Today I'm swatching Essie All Access Pass which is my fill for 'A'!

|Unboxing of my Jan 2016 Julep Maven Box|
I have set a goal for myself over the next couple of weeks to play catch-up with my Julep boxes. I have a HUGE pile of them sitting beside my lightbox that have been looked at, ooooh-ed over, and then left. For some people that might be a sign that they should stop buying Julep boxes and go on a no-buy until they catch up, but not me! Haha. I take it as a challenge! Gotta get them done before the next box arrives! Will I make it in time? Only time will tell! (But probably not).
ANYWAY, first up we're looking back at the box I got this January. I'm pretty sure this was a box I fully customized as I wasn't feeling many of the colours in the main collection. I ended up with a holo, a textured semi-sheer white and a new base coat along with some decals. Pretty good selection in my opinion!
Check out the full unboxing and swatches below!

Julep is killing me in a good way with the polish shades they've been putting out recently... First vibrant jellies last month, and now gorgeous bright and colourful duochrome metallics (which I normally am not drawn to) this month! My poor wallet!
Check under a cut for a full look at this month's Julep Collection as well as a look at the boxes you can choose from if you're a Maven... And if you're not a Maven yet but want to become one I have a link at the end of the post that will let you get your first box for free! Woohoo!

It's time for another #instanails roundup! This month we're looking at some posts I shared on instagram from the end of March through the first week or so of April. :) There is excitement with new nail polish and heartbreak with broken nails, this post is emotionally all over the place! Haha.

I have a quick swatch to share with you today! My swatches from the OPI Hello Kitty Collection have been sitting on my computer for ages at this point, and when I was sitting here trying to figure out what to do for my Day 7 prompt for The 30 Days of Colour (World Health Day) I thought: "Health... An apple a day keeps the doctor away... Do I have any polishes with apple in the name?" And then I remembered this beauty! OPI 5 Apples Tall!
OPI 5 Apples Tall is a bright apple red creme that leans slightly pink, and it's one of my favourite shades from the OPI Hello Kitty Collection. :) I've used this polish once as a base for nail art for my Ralph the Rabbit nails.
Is this a shade you picked up from the Hello Kitty Collection? What do you think of it? :)
Thanks for visiting! xx
I'm still playing catch-up! These are my tartan nails for National Tartan Day which was on April 6th and I decided to go with an accent nail in the style of the Brodie tartan which is my family tartan. :) The reason for it being an accent nail rather than a full mani? Plaid/tartan designs are hard! Haha. Check out more under the cut!

I looooove these nails! I made some stamping decals and used some water decals to put these together and I'm super pleased with the final result. :) These are my nails for Go For Broke Day for the 30 Days of Colour Challenge! Check out more pics and info below!

Oh no I already fell behind a day. :( It's because I decided to go to the movies yesterday rather than finish writing up this post... I will own up to that! Haha.
Today I'm sharing my nails for School Librarian Day which was on the 4th. In my head this was just "Librarian Day" which is why the nails I ended up with aren't quite appropriate for school haha. I wanted to do a faux-hardcore kind of logo for this one to practice my lettering skills and this is what I ended up with. :)
Check out more under the cut!
Today I have a guest post up for the lovely Ann over at Mani On The Move! Go check it out and let me know what you think! :)

Day 3 of The 30 Days of Colour is to do nails for Tweed Day! Did you know Tweed Day was a thing? Me neither! But here we are! Haha.
I decided to try to incorporate a type of nail polish that is rarely used (by anyone) but the names of which (in this collection at least) imply it's core use should be to do tweed manicures... bar glitter! The name of this one? Tweedy!

I have been so excited to share these with you! These nails were a true labour of love and took me hours to finish, and when I had to take them off I wanted to cry. Day 2 of the Unique Holidays Challenge for the 30 Days of Colour was for Children's Book Day and I decided to create a tribute to one of my most memorable children's books: The Very Hungry Caterpillar!
Check under the cut for more pics and a run down of all the steps I took to complete this look!

Did everyone get a chance to check out my April Fools post earlier today? Hahah. Well that was fun, but now it's time to get to today's real nail art. This is my first fill for this month's 30 Days of Colour Challenge! This time around we're doing a Unique Holidays Challenge, and today's unique holiday is International Tatting Day. Tatting is a type of lace-making, so I freehanded these tatted lace nails to fit with the theme!

Hi guys! I have an exciting new trend to share with you today that I am just so excited about! I'm sure you've heard about upcycling (or creative recycling) which is giving new lives to products you already have. In nail art I think we tend to upcycle a lot with things in our own homes! Using sugar to make textured polish, using craft products (like glitter and foil) to accent our nail art, using toothpicks for cleanup... We re-purpose things all the time!
Well, the other day I was getting ready to photograph a mani and noticed some cat hair sticking to one nail, and had a thought... What if I upcycled all the cat hair in my house for nail art! People use cat hair for all sorts of things - why not nails, too!
Check under the cut for a better look and more info about how to recreate this look yourself!
