ProcrastiNails: Nail Art // Yellow, Orange and Pink Stamping for When Colors Collide

A few months ago I joined the ladies in When Colors Collide to push myself to try new colour combos. If you’re a frequent reader of my blog you’ll know that adventurous colour combinations are not my thing AT ALL so this group has been awesome at pushing me out of my comfort zone. This round we had three shades to work with: yellow, pink and orange. My first thought was: “YES, it’s gonna be bright!” and my second was “Oh gosh I down own many yellow polishes!” But I made it work!

I started with three coats of Essie Aim to Misbehave (the brightest yellow I own that isn’t a neon!) and then started doing some double stamping with Mundo de Unas Sunflower and Konad Pink with two inverse images from Ya Qin An Plate Y001. This is the first plate I’ve tried from Nicole Diary and I have to say I’m impressed! I’ll have a full review up for this plate in the next couple weeks, too.

Originally I was going to do stamping across all my nails but decided to use them just as accents and then added some studs to my ring finger so the two yellow only nails didn’t feel left out of the party. 😉

So what do you think, adventurous colour combo for me eh? And I LOVE IT! Love love love.

Do you think I should have done stamping on all the nails? Or do you like them just as accents?

Thanks for visiting! xx
