Swatch of a soft pink nail polish

Continuing my post from last week where I showed you my pick for the representation of Serenity, this week I bring you my pick for Rose Quartz! I went with Essie French Affair which is a polish I've had for ages and one that gets quite a bit of wear. :) I think it's just the right shade of soft pink to go with the second Pantone Color of the Year for 2016.

Check out more on this shade below!

Swatch of Essie French Affair

Essie French Affair is a shade that's been around for a few years and it's a great basic pink. It took three coats for me to build up, and if you layer it too quickly then it does tend to be a bit streaky. So take your time with this one and be absolutely sure each layer is dry before you do the next.

Next up I'm hoping to do a look with both shades together... I'm thinking maybe a vertical gradient with some stamping? We'll see. I can't promise it will be up next week but I'll certainly try!

What's your pick for Rose Quartz? Is French Affair a shade you think you would rock this summer? Let me know!

Thanks for visiting! xx

  1. This is a great polish, especially for an Essie. Essie always has such a horrid formula for me.

  2. To me, it is just a typical Essie pink but then I groaned when they released the pantone colours for this year so... not the hugest fan of them
