Hello hello! The other day I was nominated by the lovely Ithfifi @ Ithinity Beauty for the Blog Your Heart Out Award. 🙂
The way this award works is you are given 5 questions to answer, and then you have to nominate 5 other blogs you follow that have less that 100 followers. It’s a way to help new bloggers get new followers, and to share blogs that really inspire you that others might not know about.
My questions and nominees are below!
1. What/who encouraged you to start blogging?
I can’t remember what exactly it was that pushed me to start blogging about my nail art… I have a tendency to pick up hobbies, buy all the things needed to do them, and then get bored and wander away from it. Scrapbooking was the last hobby to fall victim to this trend. 🙁 I imagine I thought that starting a blog would hold me accountable for actually using all the things I bought to go with the hobby, and that the idea of sharing my art with others would motivate me to keep up with it. And it’s worked! 🙂
2. How did you chose what topic(s) to blog about?
There was never any question that I was going to blog about nails, I don’t think anything else I do is interesting enough to document. Hahah.
3. What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I’m a pretty serious animal activist and vegetarian, though I don’t maintain an awareness of beauty brands that practice animal testing or avoid them. In the future I might start.
4. What three words describe your style?
Simple, crisp, comfortable.
5. What do you like to do when you are not blogging?
I spend an embarrassing amount of time on tumblr. (And it’s not the hipster side of tumblr.) I also watch a lot of TV shows/Netflix, cook (I love the recipes on this blog) and force my friend Jill to spend time with me when our schedules overlap.
