Winter is Coming! House Stark Game of Thrones Inspired Mani!

IT'S FINALLY TIME FOR THE PREMIER OF THE THIRD SEASON. WHO'S EXCITED?! I AM!! To celebrate, we have the final (for now) installment for my Game of Thrones nail art series. There was no real question of what my inspiration would be for this week. House Stark, of course!

So first off, I love these nails. I did them last night at work and the entire ride home I just couldn't stop looking at them! This was my first time using metal studs and I found they were really easy to work with. For the font I went between a few methods of doing the writing (freehand with a paintbrush, Instant Artist brush or liquid eyeliner) and in the end nothing beats the ease of the liquid eyeliner.

The inspiration for these nails was the general feel and colours of House Stark. I thought about attempting the dire wolf but went with the motto instead. My remaining nails are supposed to give you the vague impression of shields.

What I used to get this look:
Square 5mm Silver Studs
GOSH Long Lasting Eye Liner Pen in Carbon Black (words)
Quo by ORLY Instant Artist in Black (lines)
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On (base)

  1. Ooo, this is so pretty! I can never get neat writing on my nails ):

    1. Thanks! And I totally hear you, small writing is tricky. That's why I love this eyeliner: the sponge holds a lot of colour, and if you use a topcoat before attempting the text you can just keep wiping it off when you mess up. (It took me 3 tries to get the text straight!)

  2. Love GOT and this manicure is great! Especially the studs. Did you write on the other hand as well because that would be even more impressive :)

    1. Thank you!! I love the studs. Unfortunately my other hand was just all studs, because I don't think I'm quite up to the challenge of doing lettering on my dominant hand (yet)! :)

Thanks for your comments! Even if I don't get a chance to reply I read and appreciate each and every one of them!! <3
