Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had something fun to do… I was stuck at work until midnight, so before I left I did my nails up in a mani so I would have something nice to look at all night. So happy to finally make use of the OPI Man With The Golden Gun 18k gold leaf topcoat that I got for Christmas!
I don’t normally make resolutions for the New Year since I never follow up with them, but this one I’ve been thinking about for a while so I thought ‘why not!’ Yes, I’m finally giving in and doing a nail art challenge. (And I WILL finish it this time!!)

I loved how this topcoat went on, I used two coats of it for these pictures. I debated if I should put it on over white or black, but in the end I was won over by Black Satin because it’s my favourite black ever. It goes on well and I love the brush that Rimmel uses in their Lasting Finish Pro bottles (though some people might find it too wide).

Nails in 2013:
The first thing I’m super excited for is the nail polish exchange me and a friend have been been talking about. I’m sending her polish from Canada and she’s sending me polish from Spain, and though we keep talking about it we never seem to get farther than that. That’s going to change this year, as I’ve already bought the packaging and have given some thought to the colours I’m sending. So stay tuned!
The other thing I’m excited about is finally starting (and finishing) a nail art challenge. This one was going around a lot last year, and I always thought it would be fun to do. I got a few colours in a handful of times before I would forget about it, but this year will be different. Here’s the challenge I’m going to work on, though I’m not giving myself a week/month limit to get it done by:
