2016 in Review // My 10 Top Nail Art Looks of 2016
Our last review post of the year is a look at my personal favourite nail art looks from 2016. :) This was so fun to pull together as I got to revisit all of my designs, and looking at them helped me to remember "Heck yeah, I do awesome art!" which is sometimes a little reminder that you need to keep going, you know? :)
Check out my favs under the cut and then let me know yours! And if you want, feel free to share a link to your own all-time favourite look from your blog in the comments - I'd love to see! :)
I was so freaking pleased with this look, and I still love it. One of those times you have an idea and it turns out EXACTLY as you had pictured in your head!
This was my first time stamping a bold gradient like this if you can believe it! It's a simple look but I LOVE the combo of the stamping colours and that glitter topper!
This mani was ridiculous and amazing and I still love it. LOVE IT.
This is a more recent look and it was the first time I tried to do a continuous image across my nails. It worked out so well!
This was a surprise for me, because I only started liking it (I originally hated it) because everyone else said they liked it! Now it's grown on me, enough to be my #4 favourite look this year! :)
These nails got no love when I first did them and that KILLED ME because these took 4 hours from start to finish. Four! Hours! I made smoosh decals and then hand cut all the bits and pieces and applied them to look just like the illustrations in the book. :)
This was a recreation for a wonderful blogger so I can't take credit for the design. I am in love with how it turned out though!
Another recent look, and another Digit-al Dozen look! This was my first time using Fair Maiden Polishes and you can never go wrong with a radial gradient + texture when it comes to snowy looks imo. :)
AHHH GALAXY MANICURE. I love galaxy nail art - it is literally the easiest thing in the world to do and it always comes out looking PERFECT. The constellations in this one just take it up a notch!
And the top spot goes to this simple yet elegant bridal stamping look! There's not much to it but it's still so striking. :)
What do you think, did I pick your favourite? Are there looks you think are missing? Let me know!
So that's it for 2016! Ahh! The next time I see you all it will be 2017, and I have some exciting stuff coming up for you then! :) Have a safe and happy New Years Eve and thanks for visiting! xx
