Spring is here, time for flowers and sunshine and warmer weather! And I have some perfect shades to share with you for the season. :) What are we looking at here? Why, this is the Ceramic Glaze Limited Edition Botanical Oasis Collection! It's a gorgeous mix of bright cremes with a couple more unique finishes thrown in for fun.
This collection is available May 22nd so take a look through all the shades and decide now which colours you are going to have to pick up for yourself!
Ceramic Glaze Petal Pusher
First up we have Petal Pusher which honestly is one of my favourite colours in the whole collection. It's a gorgeous smokey iris purple and it applied wonderfully with two coats.
Ceramic Glaze Seize the Day
Seize the Day is one of the two pink shades in the collection and it's a bright (almost neon) pink. In reality it leans slightly more blue than these pictures show, and just like the rest of the collection it applied with zero issues and was fully opaque with two coats.
Honestly when I hear the name all I can think of is that Newsies song "Seize the Day" haha. I fricken love Newsies...
Ceramic Glaze Perfect Peony
Know what I love? Bright coral shades for summer. And Perfect Peony fits the bill perfectly! This is another bright creme polish and and honestly I think this is one that would look wonderful on anyone. :)
Ceramic Glaze Impulsive
Impulsive is one of the more adventurous shades in this collection. It's a true neon and applied matte at first so what you see here has two layers of top coat over it -- the matte version really didn't show the polish to it's full effect so I didn't photograph it on it's own, sorry!
This is a bright and bold electric violet creme packed with blue and purple microglitter to just give it that something extra. The glitter is subtle on the nail but the overall look definitely packs a punch of colour that will be perfect for both spring and summer. :)
Ceramic Glaze Surf's Up
Yesssss minty green! This is Surf's Up and I think it's one of the shades I will get the most use out of... I love a good mint green creme! I applied my ring finger a bit thickly so you can see it's not quite smooth, but as long as you are more patient than me you shouldn't have any trouble haha. I was just so excited to get it on my nails!
Ceramic Glaze Urbane
Urbane is the only real neutral in the collection, and it's a very pretty ginger neutral. It doesn't quite go with my skin tone -- a bit too orange leaning -- which is a shame because I love it in the bottle. Ah well, I'm sure it will be great for nail art. :) As with all the others this applied well with two coats for full opacity.
Ceramic Glaze French Riviera
Bam, blue! This is French Riviera and though I have a bunch of polishes from a bunch of different brands and collections with that name I think this one is my favourite. This is the quintessential bright blue creme that everyone should have in their collection. :)
Ceramic Glaze Heavenly
And last but not least we have the other unique finish in this collection -- this is Heavenly, a sheer white iridescent pearl. As you can see on the nail it leans more soft pink than white, and depending on the angle the iridescence will emphasize either the white or the pink.
When I applied this I was really worried it wasn't going to be opaque enough to swatch on it's own, but my fears were unfounded. Three coats and you have a lovely sheer cover to the nail. You could probably get away with using one coat over other polishes too, but if you do be careful of the brushstrokes!
If I had to choose absolute favourites from this collection I would go with Petal Pusher, Surf's Up and Perfect Peony, but honestly I love the entire set. :)
They all applied with zero issues, and aside from the sheer white they all only took two coats. I'm sure if you do thicker coats than me you might even be able to get away with one coat.
If you want to grab some of these shades for yourself you will be happy to know that the Ceramic Glaze LE Botanical Oasis Collection will be available May 22nd!
