Ho ho ho! It's time for some Christmas spirit on this blog! :) Today I have a look at four of the shades released (well, re-released) in the Sinful Colors Holiday 2015 Glitz and Garlands Collection! I saw this pop up at my local PharmaPlus a couple weeks ago and grabbed up a few of the shades that drew my eye. Check my swatches under the cut and then let me know which you like best! :)
Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Snow Me White is one of the permanent shades from Sinful Colors so this definitely isn't new for this collection, and this is actually my third or fourth bottle in the past few years. What can I say, I use a lot of white!
Overall this is a nice creamy white that applies opaque with two or three coats (depending how thick you do them). I feel it works well as a base for any mani. :) The first coat is a bit streaky but it builds up.
All three of the other swatches from this collection are over two coats of Snow Me White. For obvious reasons I didn't do a macro of this one on it's own.
Sinful Colors Holiday Rebel
Holiday Rebel from what I can tell is a re-issue from the Holiday 2013 Glitz & Glittered Collection. It's a glitter topper packed with different sizes of red and green hex glitter along with a few pieces of larger holo glitter. The glitter payoff is great and I had zero issues with the application.
What you see below is two brushes of Holiday Rebel over Snow Me White with top coat.
Sinful Colors Gilded
Gilded is also from the Holiday 2013 Glitz & Glittered Collection and it's a lovely shimmery sheer polish that looks pink at first but which shimmers gold in the light with small red glitter packed throughout. It reminds me a lot of Julep Love!
As it's quite sheer (I don't know that you could wear it on it's own without VNL) I swatched three coats over Snow Me White (with top coat) which really shows off the pink tone in the base. I think this one is just lovely, though it doesn't really scream Christmas to me.
Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty
Queen of Beauty has been out for quite a few years now, and unless I hear otherwise in the comments I'm going to say this is actually part of the permanent line just like Snow Me White. Still, it's a lovely silver glitter topper that can almost be built up enough to act as a stand-alone polish.
I was worried this one was going to be a gloopy pain to apply but I actually had zero issues! What you see is three coats brushed over Snow Me White with top coat.
While none of these shades were new I still quite liked all of them. Snow Me White was the only one I already had in my collection, though at the cost (under $2 usually) I wouldn't have been too sad even if I realized I did have duplicates. If you see this collection springing up around I would encourage you to take a look, I think the entire collection had about 7 or 8 shades in it and I'm sure there's one or two to draw your eye. :)
Now that you've seen all four swatches, which would you say is your favourite? Do you own any of these lovelies already? Let me know!
Thanks for visiting! xx
