ProcrastiNails: Quick Silver Stamping with the MoYou London Mother Nature 02 Plate

Silver and dark blue matte stamping with MoYou London Mother Nature 02 Plate

Today I have a look that could be considered a nail fail but that I just liked too much to throw away (or put into my upcoming fail compilation)! I didn’t scrape the plate well enough before stamping so there’s some additional silver throughout the design, but I think the fact that the design is so busy and free already makes the mistakes blend in if you don’t look too closely. 🙂

My base is the gorgeous deep blue of Ciaté London Knee Highs, and then I did my stamping with China Glaze I’d Melt For You and my MoYou London Mother Nature 02 plate. I sealed the whole thing off with a layer of Essie Matte About You (because as I’ve said before literally everything is better with matte), and ta da!

I didn’t get a picture of the plate to go with the rest of the post (sorry about that!) but it’s a full-plate image of trees and birds and flowers. I tried to stamp some of the continuous branch segments to go across my nails, and while it didn’t work out perfectly I’m still quite happy with it! With these colours it kind of reminds me of a fabric pattern you would see on old curtains or furniture.

What do you think, passable art or nail fail? (You won’t hurt my feelings!)
