You may have noticed there was an abrupt stop to my fills for The 31 Day Challenge. I ran out of steam and I ran out of inspiration and I just needed a few days to rest. But I’m going to try to push through this last week of fills if it kills me! Today I have my fill for Day 27: Inspired by Artwork.
This is the day I’ve been dreading since the start. I’m not much of a fan of traditional art or art history, so I really didn’t know what I was going to do with this. My ah-ha! moment today was when I got an email from etsy about fall items – I could go through their art section to find something to be inspired by! The very first thing that caught my eye was this pretty Autumn Leaf Embroidered Hoop Art so that’s what I went with.
This started with a base of OPI A-Taupe the Space Needle and then I did my leaves with a variety of acrylics. That detail work takes a lot out of you! I definitely need more practice with small brushes!

I am so ready to be done this challenge… 31 days of pre-set prompts is too much for me! I want to start getting in to all my fun Halloween looks. And because of that there might be a spooky theme throughout my last few fills… You can’t stop the Halloween spirit!
