ProcrastiNails: My Simple and Clean Pride Mani!

The day is already done but I’m going to take some time to share my mani from today (well, yesterday technically) with you anyway. Yay late night posts! This is the look I ended up wearing for World Pride – something simple and clean and to the point. Love is love and you can get out of here if you disagree.

I used one of the most appropriate polishes I own – Sinful Colors Pride! It’s a bit hard to see, but there’s also some dual-finish stuff going on here… The base is a matte and I used a glossy top coat and some punched-out diy decals to make glossy hearts!

The base polish is Julep Hope, and I made the hearts with a heart-shaped hole puncher and Seche Vite. The glitter on the accent nail was placed with the help of a sponge and a rubber tip… Damn those things pick up glitter well! I think this is the first time I’ve used Sinful Colors Pride, though I feel like I picked it up forever ago. It’s a lovely mult-size and multi-colour glitter topper! I like how tidy this overall look is, though it wasn’t quite as flashy as last year.

In general Pride was awesome – I was in the parade with work and there is SO MUCH MORE SPACE when you’re marching rather than walking! Hahah. I also work with really awesome people and it was nice to be able to spend the day with them. Even though Pride seems to be moving away from true activism/recognition and more towards commercialism it’s still a fun day.

Enjoy the fun mani, and let me know if you did anything fun for Pride this weekend (or whichever weekend your city celebrates Pride)! Also happy early Canada Day and 4th of July!

Thanks for visiting! xx
