ProcrastiNails: Spring Renewal Challenge: Soft and Dreamy Rainbows

I’ll admit, my last fill for this challenge is a bit of a cheat… This is actually the base I put together for my Crackled Easter Eggs fill. But it was just so pretty I knew I had to put it up on it’s own, too! And I like the idea of using it for my freestyle fill for this challenge because then it kind of keeps both posts together in a way. 🙂 This look on it’s own is soft and dreamy and perfect for spring.

The more I play with the OPI Sheer Tints the more I like them. This was the easiest look in the world to put together, and it looks so nice! I just painted on two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then went through all four tinted shades and painted on patches all over my nails. I made sure to overlap each shade in certain places to create a broader colour pallet, and even though the tints were a bit thick in places when I applied them (since these polishes get goopy quickly) a quick coat of Seche Vite smoothed everything down and blended the colours just that much more.

This is 100% a look I would have worn on it’s own, if I hadn’t already planned to layer it with a crackle for the original challenge. I’m excited to try playing around with only one or two colours on the nail to see about the variety of shades I can come up with… I had only bought the Sheer Tints in minis, but I’m debating going back and getting them all in full size now! That’s how excited I am at the possibilities. 🙂

I’m sad to see this challenge go, but since we’ve already started planning for next month it softens my sadness a bit. To quote what I said a couple days ago: if you’re interested in joining in I really want to encourage you to check out the Challenge Your Nail Art facebook group. We already have general challenge topics set up from now through September, and before we start the month we all vote on which themes we want included. It’s fun, and no-pressure to finish all of even any of the themes if they don’t inspire you. Check it out! 🙂

Thanks for visiting!! xx
