ProcrastiNails: Finger Food’s Theme Buffet: Monochrome Chevrons

Hello hello! I am once again participating in a Finger Food’s Theme Buffet Challenge. 🙂 This week there were two themes we could choose from, and I decided to go with doing a monochromatic look!

Technically a monochrome look can be anything done with one colour or shades within the same colour. Since I was already rocking OPI Push & Shove from an event I went to I decided to add some black and white to make it a whole new look that fit with the theme. The two textured shades are both from Sally Hansen’s Sugar Coat line – Lick-O-Rich and Sugar Fix.

It was also really exciting to get to use my Nail Vinyl’s for the first time, which you might have seen a preview of on instagram the other day. They stick on really well and I was pleased with how crisp some of my lines came out. I got this chevron shape, and I also got zig zag’s and lightening bolts. So hopefully I’ll get to do lots of mani’s with them in the future! The ones I got are made by @teismom on instagram, and she sells them in her store for about $5 a sheet. There’s lots of options, so check them out if you’re interested.

I liked this look enough that I wore it for about 4 days. (Unheard of for me!) I liked that the design was on the tips, and I liked that I ended up doing a similar look across all my nails rather than going with an accent nail. 🙂

That’s it for me for today, but make sure to check out some of the other awesome designs from this week:

Thanks for visiting!! xx
