Julep Maven April 2014 Selections are Open - The Vivid Collection!

The Vivid Collection as pictured on Julep.com

I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on which Julep box I want to pick up this month, so I thought I'd share the whole collection with you and see what you think... There's a lot of fun brights, but nothing is really jumping out at me as a need-to-buy (which is too bad because April is my birth month and I really wanted something special). The beauty items this month are blushes and bronzers. I was happy to see they're including a Core Classics box again this month, though I don't love it as much as the one I picked up last month. Take a look at everything and let me know what you think!

I'm kind of leaning towards skipping this month but since the selection window is open from the 20th to the 24th I have a few days to decide for sure. :) If you're a Maven and planning to pick up some add-ons remember to get your selections in early since they often run out!

The monthly box program is $19.99 US (they ship to Canada and the US), and as a Maven you get free shipping. If you're interested in signing up for the Julep Maven program you're welcome to use my referral link, and remember to use the code FREEBOX at the checkout to get your first month free!

Let me know what you think (and if you're interested in seeing posts of the monthly previews as they go live in the future)! Thanks for visiting!! xx

  1. I'd go for Classic with a Twist as I said on Twitter lol But they really don't look like anything special and the swatches of the others don't make them look very appealing either. Even Felicia looks a bit 'meh' on the swatch.

    1. I ended up going with It Girl and added Caitlin (the pink from Classic with a Twist) as an add-on, but yeah they didn't blow me away... Hopefully they'll be more appealing in person!

  2. I ended up skipping this month; I was really in love with Phoebe, Kayla, and Felicia, but I couldn't justify a box with only one or two of what I wanted, especially with phone bills to pay. Hopefully, like a lot of recent box colors, they'll be surfacing in a sale soon - I'm absolutely snagging them then! ^_^

    1. Yeah, I thought reaaaaally hard about if I wanted to bother picking up a box this month or not... Hopefully I don't regret it! lol And I hear you with the bills. Damn expensive hobbies!

  3. I thought all the nail polish options looked too sheer and ended up going with the Modern Beauty set. I'm a new member, or I'd have skipped the box altogether.

    1. Yeah, I totally hear you... I was worried by the amount of polishes they labelled as 'sheer,' but I'm working off the fact that Julep has a weirdly difficult time identifying finishes/consistencies properly and am hoping they're not actually fully sheer... Fingers crossed! And it sucks how infrequently new members can skip. :/ Totally not fair.
