It’s going to be busy on this blog for the next few days with nail art challenge fills! 🙂 Today I bring you my first fill for Finger Food’s Theme Buffet! This week’s topic was dots and stripes, so I decided to take some of my favourite polishes from yesterday’s post and put together this spring-y accent nail combo.
This look features two of my favourite OPI Pirates of the Caribbean polishes… OPI Mermaid’s Tears and OPI Sparrow Me The Drama. I added in OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as a neutral, and used both striping tape and a dotting tool (as if that wasn’t obvious, haha). I felt the splash of pink from Sparrow Me The Drama gave this mani the extra kick of interest that it needed.
I don’t usually have the patience to tape off my stripe manis and tend to end up just free-handing them with a striping brush, but taping them off like this didn’t take as long as I thought it would so I might alternate between the two techniques more often in the future!
This was my first time doing a fill in this group. Their challenges are usually pretty simple and leave lots of room for interpretation so I can see myself taking part in a few more of their themes in the future for sure.
