ProcrastiNails: Success! Rimmel London Cartoon Nails!

My nails are nubbins right now, so I’ve been trying to come up with designs that look better on short nails. This is a design I’ve been meaning to try for a while and I AM SO HAPPY WITH HOW THESE TURNED OUT! Ahhh, oh my gosh. Hahah. This was my first time trying cartoon nails, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they were. This is definitely a design I’m going to be playing around with in the future. 😀

These nails started out with two coats of Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Cherry Fashion (the colour of which my camera ate and spit out again – this colour is actually a deep raspberry as opposed to the red it looks like here). Once those dried I framed each nail with Quo by ORLY Instant Artist in Black and then did a curved exclamation point (!) on the side with Rimmel London French White Nail Tip Liner to make the ‘shine’ mark on the nails.

My mind is bursting with all the other options that exist with this design… You could basically do ANYTHING for your base nail, frame it and add the ‘shine’ and it’d be cartoon-ified!

Not a lot to say about this design other than I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Hahah. I am seriously so excited and happy that it turned out.

Have you guys tried cartoon nails before? I know it’s a bit of an old trend by now, but I still think it’s a cute look.

I also shared this mani as part of the “That’s My Style” Link Party over @ My Serendipitous Life. Check it out!
