ProcrastiNails: Nail Art: Black & White for #31DC2016 // Contrast Stamping with MoYou London

The second post for today is my Black & White fill for the 31 Day Challenge. 🙂 I’m really proud of how this turned out – it was the first time I tried lining up my stamping with my background so that the colors would cross properly, and it worked out perfectly!

So I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then painted random black blocks with Sinful Colors Black on Black. When that was dry I painted patches of black and white on my stamping plate that looked like they would roughly line up with the alternate colours on the nail, and then stamped them on using a clear stamper (so I could see and line them up).

The plate I used was MoYou London Hipster 07 and the stamping polish I used was Mundo de Unas White and Sinful Colors Black on Black. I realized when it came to stamping that I didn’t have a black that would be opaque enough to stamp properly, so I was super pleased when my base black worked as a stamping polish!

My lines don’t match up perfectly, but they’re pretty damn close! 😀 I love the effect this mani gives when you look at it all together, somehow it seems almost like an optical illusion!
