ProcrastiNails: 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art: Five Golden Rings

What’s a 12 Days of Christmas Challenge without a theme related to the song itself? 🙂 The prompt was to use any line from the song and I decided to go with five golden rings symbolized by five stripes of gold across my nails. Love it!

My base is Essie Skirting the Issue (which I am currently obsessed with) and then I taped off and painted stripes of: Julep Sienna, Zoya Solange, Square Hue Oxford Street, OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. and Julep Oscar. I was shocked at how easy it was to find five different shades of gold in my collection! I don’t know if this is something I should be proud of? Haha.

Some of my gold rings went on easier than others… Oscar (the top ring) and Oxford Street (the centre copper-leaning one) were both pains since the former is a scattered glitter topper and the latter is fairly sheer and needs to be built up.

I forget how tedious taping off stripes is until I find myself doing it, but it’s always so satisfying in the end to see how crisp and clean the lines are so I think it’s totally worth it!

Here a look at the other designs from the Challenge Your Nail Art lovelies:

And here’s a look at the other themes we have coming up:

This is one of those looks that I love so much that it’s going to hurt my heart to have to remove it. I could say that I’ll re-make it in the future when I can wear it for longer but that’s probably not going to happen so I’ll just have to enjoy it while I can. 🙂
