I’ve gotten myself a bit behind in these prompts, but I’m still aiming to get them done. I burnt myself out a bit and had to take a few days to just do nothing. But I’m back and today I have my fill for Day 24 of the 31 Day Challenge: Inspired by a Book! What book inspired me? Haha…. You’ll have to check under the cut to find out!
I started with a base of Essie Cocktails & Coconuts and then free handed my awesome Bigfoot footprints and dotted path with Essie Little Brown Dress. I then added some dry brushing for the vague impression of grass with Julep Roc Solid and Julep Angela.
Alright, quick story time: A friend and I were wandering through the bookstore the other day when we came across a terrible amazing section of books – the $2 sale books! These are books that were so horrible mind-blowingly amazing that the store decided they wanted to mark them down so that everyone could enjoy them! How lovely! And thus our $2 Book Club was born. First up is Sasquatch: North America’s Enduring Mystery by R. Matthews. Here’s a look at this treasure of a book:
And an excerpt from the back:
Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Yowie, Yeti… the idea that monstrous man-apes lurk in the remote forests and high mountain valleys of the world is an enduring and popular one. In North America, hardly a week goes by without report of a fresh encounter with the legendary Sasquatch. This book takes a fresh look at the man-apes reported to exist in North America, South America, Australia, the Himalayas and Central Asia. It examines historic sightings as well as up-to-date ones – and poses the crucial question: are they really out there?
Lovely! I haven’t started this book yet but I’m really excited to start. Who doesn’t love books about the unknown?!

So, what do you think… Do you believe in Bigfoot? Do my nails make you want to wander around in the bush looking for him? 😉 Let me know!
Thanks for visiting!
