ProcrastiNails: The 31 Day Challenge 2014 – Day 18: Gothic Half Moons

I’m in a bit of a blahh place emotionally these days, and I find that when I’m feeling this way it’s reflected in my nails. Case in point: the theme for The 31 Day Challenge today was Half Moons and as you can see my fill turned out fairly dark and gothic. Not that this is a bad thing, it’s just not at all what I had pictured doing for this fill! Ho hum, oh well.

As always, more details after the cut.

The base for this was one of my new Julep shades for September (which will hopefully be properly swatched this weekend): Julep Mary Lee. It’s a gorgeous deep dark maroon with a satin finish. I taped off the tops with binder reinforcements and then covered the bottom with Sinful Colors Black on Black and then did some quick and dirty saran wrap dabbing with more Mary Lee and some Julep Margot for contrast.

Short post today because my mood has left me not wanting to talk too much, but before you go you can check out the other entries for today below:

I’m also currently involved in a giveaway through the ever-awesome Hobby Polish Bloggers group. There are three cash prizes up for grabs and it’s open internationally, so after you finish perusing this post get your butt over to the post to enter. 🙂
