So these nails weren’t going to see the light of day, and then I remembered that I should be sharing both my successes and my failures… Because learning is a process! And I can’t learn if I don’t mess up sometimes, right? Right. 🙂 So with that in mind, I bring you my next fill for the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art… Christmas Animals!!
Rather than doing an actual holidays-themed type of animal (reindeer, penguins, other winter-y things) I decided to take my favourite animal and make it Christmas-y by doing it in green and sticking little Santa hats on top. Cute idea, right? 😀 Unfortunately since I wasn’t so keen on how it turned out, I didn’t let it fully dry before putting on a top coat… So let’s just ignore any smudges. 😡
The three greens are from the With Envy set I got from Julep on Black Friday… Payton, Courteney and Valerie. I did the rest of the art with some OPI and Rimmel London polishes, and then used black and white acrylics for the details.
Like I said, not my favourite in terms of execution… But I still like the overall idea! Check out everyone else’s takes on the challenge below. 🙂
