Nail Art // The Digit-al Dozen Does December: Rosey Radial Snow Drifts

by - Thursday, December 15, 2016

Today's post is a bit late but that's because I just got back from vacation! I was in the Dominican Republic (which is such a gorgeous country!) and so when I sat down to do today's Digit-al Dozen look I was feeling a bit colourful and tropical. So I decided to go with a less traditional colour combo this time! Snowy pink goodness!

Okay! You want to know what I used to put this together? Well! I started off with a radial gradient with two of my Black Friday purchases: Fair Maiden Polish Afterglow and Pirate Queen. I really really like how they blended into each other!

When that was all dry I stamped on some white snowy flakes with Mundo de Unas White and QA57 Plate.

I knew from the beginning I wanted to do some textured snow drifts along the bottom so I pulled out my trusty white Sally Hansen Sugar Coat in Sugar Fix and used a small paintbrush to fill it in along the bottom and up the sides a bit.

These are the first two Fair Maiden polishes I've used and I was really impressed! The holo in both is just gorgeous, and though Pirate Queen turned out less maroon than expected I think that's because I used Afterglow as a base under my gradient so it softened the colour a bit.

This mani? The perfect combo of festive with a hint of tropical goodness! I always feel extra content at the end when I can pull out some of my textured polishes too, so that didn't hurt! Hooray!

Thanks for visiting! xx
