My glitter fill is here! I knew I wanted to do something with hex glitter and after browsing instagram for a bit I decided to do a more Christmas-y recreation of a look by Laura Merino. It doesn’t look nearly as lovely as hers but I still really like it – it’s different!
I also posted an upside-down pic of this on instagram and was told they looked like flowers! Oops. Haha. They would be pretty sad looking flowers in my opinion, but hopefully they look better right-side-up as dangling ornaments. 🙂
I started with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then used my Color Club Art Club Red Glitter Liner to do my bracketing. My silver ornaments are Julep Missy and then I went in with my Color Club Art Club Black Liner and some red hex glitter and added the final details. Unfortuantely I didn’t find the small hex glitters I wanted to use until after I’d already finished the look (isn’t that always the way!) but I think it looks okay with the bigger glitter, too.
And my bows look super wonky because after I tried freehanding them I realized it was easier to do a black dot with a white dot in the middle, so I went back and did that over a few of them. I wish I’d realized it earlier! Oh well, live and learn. 🙂
Here a look at the other designs from the Challenge Your Nail Art lovelies:
And here’s a look at the other themes we have coming up:
Overall I’m fairly happy with how this turned out, and I’m kind of looking forward to trying some badass freehand for tomorrow’s ugly sweater nails… We’ll see how that goes. Haha.
