ProcrastiNails: Get Lucky Nail Art Challenge: Deconstructed Lucky Rainbow!

The theme for the third day of the Get Lucky challenge was basically St Patrick’s Day symbols… A pot of gold, shamrocks, leprechauns or rainbows. As you can see I went with the most colourful option: rainbows!
Hurrah!

I was really excited about this design. I went with the idea of making a deconstructed rainbow so that all the components are there but they aren’t presented in the traditional way. You can see the rainbow in the gradient, with the clouds and cheery blue sky bracketing it on each side. But my pot of gold isn’t sitting nicely at the end of the rainbow… Instead it arches over the rainbow itself, and scatters a bit on the clouds. 🙂

As you can probably guess there were a ton of colours that went into this look. Most of the rainbow shades were Sinful Colors, and the gold arch is Zoya Solange. If you have any questions about particular colours let me know and I’ll get back to you!

EDIT: Now that the challenge is finished, here’s a round-up of all the fills I completed:

March 14 – Use ALL the greens! (And then add some sparkle.)
March 15 – Irish Flag or Irish Candy? Who knows!
March 16 – Deconstructed Lucky Rainbow!
March 17 – My St Patrick’s Day Nail Fail!

Thanks for visiting!! xx
