No violets today, it’s aaaaaall roses for my third fill for the Week of Love! 🙂 I think this was the simplest of all the manis this week (so far), and it’s by far my favourite. I also love how the design works over my base of Julep Love. Just enough glitter for interest without overpowering the rest of the look. Let’s take a closer look!
This design actually used a whole bunch of colours, so I’m only going to share the dominant ones with you. The base (like I said) is Julep Love, but it’s actually one coat over two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. The rose bases were done with Nicole by OPI Star of the Party (purple) and Essence Fame Fatal (red). The glitter in the base polish describes itself as ‘fuschia’ (though my eyes call it red), so I decided a combo of purple and red roses would draw out the colour either way. Success!
I really like drawing roses, and I really need to do it more often/work on it more often. The first time I did them was for my favourite mani of all-time (so far) which was my Rose and the Stag mani from my Thrones series. Back then my roses had a lot more depth and detail, and I want to get back to that.
Two days down, two days left! I can’t wait to see what everyone does with the remaining themes!
