ProcrastiNails: Swatch // Fair Maiden Polish Duchess for The 30 Days of Colour

I have a slightly late post to share with you today featuring my 4th swatch for the May 30 Days of Colour Challenge! The theme this week was to use your favourite brand, so I decided to do a swatch from my favourite indie brand – Fair Maiden Polish!

Fair Maiden Polish Duchess was from the Feline Catty? Collection which contained polishes themed around well-loved Disney felines. This lovely hue is named for Duchess from The Artistocats (obvs)! and it’s a royal purple linear holo with a few larger holo flakes throughout.

It took three coats to build up to full opacity, and these swatches also have a layer of top coat over them (and as you can see the top coat doesn’t dull the holo at all which is awesome).

Fair Maiden is one of my favourite brands for a few reasons. First off their polishes are gorgeous and work really well with my body chemistry (they tend to last a LONG time for me!), I like their price point, and they have a very reasonable Canadian shipping rate! They also come out with new shades fairly frequently while also taking part in a variety of limited edition boxes and special polishes so there’s always something new for me to spend my money on. 🙂

I knew as soon as the prompt was decided for this week that FM would be the polish I would go for. What about you – if you had to name your favourite brand (indie or mainstream) what would you choose? 🙂

Thanks for visiting! xx
