HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY! Let's keep with the theme of the day and keep it green!
As you may have guessed, today we are looking at some of my favourite green creme polishes! This is a fun little series I started a while ago (you can see my favourite pink cremes here!) that lets me share some of my most loved polishes with you. They're super fun for me to put together, and I hope you like going through them as much as I enjoy deciding which polishes to feature. :)
Essie Going Guru
Going Guru is a lovely soft sage green creme from Essie that makes up for it's kind of crappy formula (three coats to build up, still kind of streaky as you can see on my ring finger) with a very pretty final colour. This one is versatile - the perfect green for spring or Christmas!
Ceramic Glaze Surf's Up
Surf's Up is one of my all-time favourite polishes, and though it straddles the line between blue and green (it's really a lovely cool seafoam) I'm considering it green for the purposes of this post. Because I can. ;)
Aside from the perfect colour the formula isn't bad either. It only two took coats to build up to full opacity and the application is nice (though you have to be careful as coats that are too thick may look goopy on the nail).
Color Club Martian, Martian, Martian!
Martian, Martian, Martain! is pretty, pretty pretty! :)
This is a cool jungle green creme that does take three coats to fully build up but that is worth every coat. There's just so much life to this polish, is that a weird thing to say? Haha. It just feels alive and earthy to me.
China Glaze Be More Pacific
Who's looking for a yellow-leaning lime green creme?! In reality, probably not many people. But if you are, Be More Pacific is for you! It's not quite neon but it is very bright, and because it's so light it does take three coats to build up. It levels really well though and I didn't have problems with streaking by the final coat.
This is the polish I have named My Favourite Green Ever in the past, and that title still holds! Payton the perfect traditional green creme, and even if it leaves a wee tiny bit of staining behind on naked nails (always use a base with deep blues and greens, kids!) it is worth it for this colour. Just look at it! LOOK AT IT! Perfection in a green bottle!
So those are my favs! What colour should we do next? Blue? Yellow? White (haha)? Let me know in the comments! :)
Thanks for visiting! xx And Happy St Patrick's Day!
