Swatch // Quick Shattered Mani with OPI Gaining Mole-Mentum
I have had a weekend full of swatching and art! Productive, woo hoo! The first look I'm sharing with you this week is a quick and simple one but it features a topper I'm pretty sure I've never used... Toppers in clear bases are polishes I pick up quite often but rarely use, is that just me or does everyone else do that too? lol Gotta get my butt in gear and start using them more often!!
I'm also starting to try out some new poses... I have two new shots in this post and I would LOVE to hear your feedback on what angles/poses you like best!
So today's polish is a base of Color Club Men Are From Mars (previously swatched here) with a couple coats of OPI Gaining Mole-Mentum from the 2014 OPI Muppets Most Wanted Collection. This is a shredded/shattered foil topper with pieces in gold, silver and copper scattered throughout.
I painted on two coats and then sponged on a bit more to achieve a good level of coverage, and then smoothed it all down with a layer of top coat. It applied fairly easy I guess though it would have been nice if I didn't have to sponge a last layer on. The top coat did smooth everything down though, so I wasn't left with any jagged pieces sticking up when it was done (which was great).
New pose 1 - I have been trying to figure out how to pose my nails in ~The Pose for a while now, and damn is it hard! I like how it looks but I don't know if I have the time to work my fingers into this shape every single time...
New post 2 - a look from below! I really should have wrapped my tips better but what are you gonna do. I like how the bottle is shown in this shot!
So that's what we have for today! Please let me know which poses/angles you like as I'm thinking of working to change things up in the future, and let me know what you think of the polish too! :) Do you use glitter toppers very often or do they get pushed to the back of your Helmer like mine do?
Let me know! Thanks for visiting! xx
