I layered the hell out of my base for this mani and it turned out AMAZINGLY iridescent and wonderful and I'm SO HAPPY. Look how glittery and sparkly and wintery and lovely these are!
Aside from being fabulous these nails are also my second fill for this month's 'Winter' theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative! My first fill this month was this drag marble tree look. I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to get a third look in this month, but that's okay. I did a great effort this month imo with two winning looks. :)
So I'm sure you're wondering what I actually used when I say I layered the hell out of my base. WELL! Let me tell you. I started out with a simple base of Avon Cosmic Blue and then painted on a coat each of:
- Ciaté London Risky Business (a sheer blue-pink duochrome polish with iridescent glitter and flakies)
- OPI Snow Globetrotter (a glitter topper with white and iridescent hex glitter of all sizes)
- Essence A Winter's Tale (a dense-coverage iridescent microglitter top coat)
And then smoothed it all down with a layer of top coat before adding my stamping. I decided to apply snowflakes across the tip for the most part as I was going for a vaguely stamped French Tip kind of vibe.
My stamping was done with Mundo de Unas White, MoYou London Festive 30 and MoYou London Festive 17 and I placed each and every snowflake individually. :)
The final look is cool and crisp and perfect. :) I love the hint of pink that the Ciaté London polish brings and I like how there is so much layers of glitter and yet it still doesn't look too busy. It's a subtle busy. :)
