Nail Art // Celebrating 2017 with the 30 Days of Colour Challenge

by - Sunday, January 08, 2017

2017 is here and I finally had time to sit down to do some nails to celebrate! 2016 wasn't a terrible year but I just feel good about 2017... It feels like there are good things in store for me! :)

Blog-wise I haven't really given much thought to any resolutions, shockingly. I have a new template that I want to upload at some point so you can look forward to that, and I'm focusing more time on my IG and FB pages, but other than that I think I'm just going to keep trucking on like usual.

In my personal life? Well, I'm hoping to switch jobs in the next few months (though I have no idea where I want to go or what I want to do...) and I have a couple weddings coming up that I'm really looking forward to attending. Maybe I'll start dating again? HAHA. No.

Anyway, enough chit chat! You're here for nails, right? So let's get to the nails!

It took a couple tries to figure out what I wanted to do with this mani. All I knew was that I wanted to have '2017' across my nails, and that I wanted to use gold and silver glitter. This was actually my second look (the first was a HORRIBLE fail) and while it's more simple than I had expected I like it!

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Black on Black and then did some whooshy segments with ORLY Mirrorball. I added some details over that with Finger Paints Colorful Collage and L'Oreal Paris The True Gold and then placed these fun numbered confetti pieces on top with top coat! (I found them at the Dollar Store and I finally found a way to use them, hooray!)

Is my nail station now a mess because of the ripped open bag of number/letter confetti? Yes it is! But it was worth it. :)

Happy 2017 everyone, I hope wonderful things come for you over the next year!

Thanks for visiting! xx
