So today I'm taking a creative attempt at this month's Digit-al Dozen prompt - Colour Contrasts! I decided to contrast colour vs the absence of colour. :) I think it turned out really neat and I'm pleased with how the colour palette's overlap on the middle two nails just a smidge!
I had so much fun playing with making this manicure because I was finally able to play with my new layering stamps from MoYou London - MoYou London Tropical Plate 23 and MoYou London Holy Shapes Plate 19. I didn't actually end up using them for much layering (I have some other manis coming up with that!) but that's okay - still super fun to play with!
Enough chit chat! On to the mani!
As mentioned above I used two different plates to get this look, though the majority of the images came from MoYou London Tropical Plate 23. I just wanted an explosion of leaves and flowers so I randomly chose images and applied them as I went. I really like how the black and white side came out!
Here's a breakdown of the polishes I used:
- Black and White - Sinful Colors Black on Black, Mundo de Unas White, MoYou London Falcon
- Colourful - Ceramic Glaze Surf's Up, Mundo de Unas Reddish, Sunflower and Tutti
And to finish it off I added a gold strip with Mundo de Unas Gold to indicate the separation of the segments. :) Lots of polish for this one!
I really really like the palm leaves that are stamped on here, and I'm feeling the urge to make a mani just with those images... I bet with some creativity I could also turn the big on (like the one on my pointer) into a feather, too! HMMMM! :)
I had a lot of fun putting this mani together. I'm actually really struggling with this prompt so I decided taking a creative approach to it would be best for me... Do I love all the mani looks I've put together for this week? No, unfortunately. But I'm having fun trying to figure out ideas for them!
Don't forget to check out all the other awesome looks below for Day 2 of The Digit-al Dozen does Colour Contrasts before you go! The other ladies are putting together some really gorgeous looks. :)
