ProcrastiNails: Mini Review: Julep’s Black Cat Decals

Periodically Julep will have decals available with their boxes or as special add-ons, and I finally got pulled into giving them a try with my October Julep Maven box. This time they released two different designs: white zig zags or (adorable) black cats. Since at the time Halloween was coming up I decided to go with the cats.  And I have to tell you, I was very pleasantly surprised with what I got!

Check under the cut to find out more!

These decals came as an add-on for $2.99 and included were 20 black cats. It’s enough to do two full manicures or a ton of accent nails!

When they arrived they were packaged with their own instructions. Here’s what they said:

Instructions

  1.  Make sure your nails are clean and dry! Do not use lotion before you apply your stickers, they will not stick.
  2. Simply peel off the sticker you wish to apply and press it firmly on
your nail (painted or not painted). Make sure that all the edges of the
sticker are flat on your nail.
  3. Coat your nails with a couple coats of clear nail polish and voila!

And here’s what they look like when applied:

Honestly these were great to use. They peeled off the page easily and applied and stuck really well. They also formed around the curve of my nail and held without any lifting. The instructions suggested sealing them on with top coat but I decided to go without.

And here’s a macro shot so you can see the type of hold it has to the nail. Look ma, no lifting! Haha.

I think the design of these little kitties is so cute, and I can’t wait to pair them with some more detailed nail art. (Oh, and if you’re wondering my base for this look was Julep Shari!)

That’s it for today, but thanks for visiting!
