ProcrastiNails: The 31 Day Challenge 2014 – Day 2: Metallic Orange Nails

It’s day 2 of The 31 Day Challenge 2014, and today’s challenge was to do orange nails. Orange is not a colour I tend to favour for nail art, so I was at a bit of a loss for what to do. I started off the same way I did for Day 1: Red Nails in that I grabbed a shade that stood out to me in my collection and let the inspiration take hold from there… Curious about how I got this look? Check below the cut!

The orange is Julep Tatiana which I’ve been wanting to use for a while now. It’s a gorgeous burnt orange metallic, and I decided to compliment that by using some metallic gold and copper leaf (which I got an awesome deal on at the craft store) to cover parts of the nail. I just dusted it on top of top coat with a fan brush and then pressed down and covered with more top coat to seal it in. Super simple but it leaves a luxe look that I just can’t get enough of.

Maybe I should’ve saved this look for the ‘Metallic’ theme on day 8, but it’s too late now!

Here’s a look at the rest of the Orange nails for today:

Tomorrow: Yellow Nails!
