ProcrastiNails: Swatch-It Sunday: Julep Lucky

Today I have one of the most unique Julep polishes in my collection… Lucky! I had been coveting this polish since I joined up, and the very first free polish code I got (when they implemented the three-box-free-polish policy) I snapped this one up. I though this would be a good way to start of the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day! So let’s take a look!

As you can probably tell from the name, Julep Lucky came out in March 2013… From what I can tell it was an add-on available with your Maven box. The label tells me it’s an It Girl shade (of course!). It was described as a “kelly green and gold coin multi-dimensional, full coverage glitter” and that description is entirely accurate. The base is a light green jelly, and it is jam packed with gold and green microglitters and a generous helping of large gold hex glitters (gold coins!). I layered two coats of Lucky over one coat of Julep Mackenzie as undies but it is totally opaque enough that it didn’t really need the undies.

My one complaint would be that the polish was really thick so I had to put some thinner in to make it properly usable. But it was totally worth it. I LOVE this polish! It’s totally seasonal too, and I am 100% planning on wearing it out this weekend for St Patrick’s festivities. Woohoo!

Thanks for visiting!! Let me know what you think! 🙂
