ProcrastiNails: The 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art: Dec 7 – Festive Glitter and Colour!

This is one of those designs that was awesome in my mind, and not-so-awesome when I actually did it. Today’s challenge for the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art was to use festive colours and glitter, and I decided to go outside of the boring red and green glitter and use China Glaze’s Glitter All The Way from last year’s holiday collection as my centrepiece. Unfortunately the whole thing just didn’t mesh as well as I had hoped. It’s not terrible, I suppose…

I like Glitter All The Way because it has your Christmas basics (red and green) but then it also has gold and purple glitters thrown in. I thought “Hey! I’ll layer this over green and white so that it’s traditional Christmas but with a pop of extra colour!” I think the main problem was the green I chose (Sinful Colors Kissy) which turned out more blue then green when layered over Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Like I said… It’s not terrible, but it’s also not as Christmas-y as I had wanted. 🙁 Hopefully my next fill for this challenge (which will be Decorations since I think I’m skipping Bells) will be more to my liking.

Thanks for visiting!! Let me know where you think I went wrong! Hahah. 🙂
