ProcrastiNails: Previous Design: OPI No Room for the Blues Zebra Stamp Mani

Time for another oldie! I changed the colour scheme of my blog the other day, and while going through some of my old pics I realized how well this mani matched the new design so I thought I would put it up!

This is a design from Sept 2012. I love the combination of colours here, and this was a mani I got a lot of compliments on!

(Unfortunately since this is an older pic I don’t have any other pictures of this mani. I really liked it though, so I may try re-creating something similar in the future.)

So my thoughts on this mani… First off is that I love using Bold Gold for stamping, as it goes on clearly and with good coverage. I would seriously recommend it. Unfortunately, since full-nail Konad stamps aren’t large enough to cover my thumb I usually have to do some sneaky small brush work to extend the design to the edges. I’ve heard the full-nail Bundle Monster designs are larger, so I’ll have to get some and give those a try in the future.

I used a matte top coat over my base before stamping, which really helped the gold to shine on top. Love it!! (I also tried this mani with a matte top coat over the whole thing but the effect wasn’t nearly as nice.)

Tools:
Konad Stamp m57

Colours:
Base is OPI in No Room for the Blues (with Essie Matte About You topcoat)
